Fully Reserved Assets Can Have Unplanned Depreciation Via API FA_UNPLANNED_PUB (Doc ID 1550008.1)

Symptoms

You are able to run unplanned depreciation for fully-reserved assets using the API : FA_UNPLANNED_PUB.do_unplanned.  This should not be allowed.

 Depreciation limit amount        : 1(JPY)


2. Run Depreciation

 FA open period                   : 2013-04 (APR-12)

 Assets's status is fully reserved.
 FA_BOOKS.PERIOD_COUNTER_FULLY_RESERVED : 24156 (2013-03 (MAR-12))
 FA_BOOKS.PERIOD_COUNTER_LIFE_COMPLETE   : 24156 (2013-03 (MAR-12))


3. Click Unplanned Depreciation on Asset Workbench

 Following error occurred:
  APP-OFA-48338: You cannot perform this transaction on an asset whose normal life is complete but not yet fully reserved.


4. Call API :FA_UNPLANNED_PUB
=====================================================================
When the API : FA_UNPLANNED_PUB.do_unplanned is called, there is no error using the same assets.
