Project Tasks Appear in LOV When Not An Active Task. Is There a Fix For This? (Doc ID 1551140.1)

Goal

We use project based template for time entry and iexpense. Some of the tasks are end-dated within the projects.  The inactivated tasks still appear in the list when a project is selected during time entry or iExpense.

Is there a way to list only active ones? It is causing confusion to users.
