Changes Were Not Applied Because User-Defined Exception When Submitting The External Learning (Doc ID 1551725.1)

On : 12.1.2 version, Course Issues

When a learner requests external learning, the following error notification is sent to the learner after the last approver approves the request:


This error only occurs if the learner has added an attachment to the external learning request.
<Patch:11858088:R12.OTA.B>, which is about a similar issue (ERROR NOTIFICATION SENT TO LEARNER IF APPROVER APPROVES WITH NO RESPONSIBILITY) was applied, but did not solve the issue.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (resp.): Learner Self-Service > Learning > External Learning
2. Push [Add] button, specify a Title, Completion Date and Supplier, and push [Continue]
3. Push [Add] and add an attachment (file)
4. Make sure the check box "Save Attachment" is checked and push [Submit]
5. Last approver approves

The external learning is not added to the list of external learning and the worklist of the learner now contains an error notification from SYSADMIN with the following subject:

Application Error has occurred in your process External Learning performed on ...
