In iProcurement, Several Words and Phrases, like Checkout and Shopping Cart, Do Not Have the Best Translation for French language (Doc ID 1554096.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle iProcurement - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Several words and phrases in iProcurement do not currently have the best translation for French language, and therefore translation changes are needed to improve the French language translations

REQUEST 1
iProcurement - > Enter a Non catalog req > Click Checkout.
System shows checkout button caption as "Enregistrement". A better translation for 'check out' instead of "Enregistrement" would be "Vérifier et continuer"

REQUEST 2
In iProcurement Screen "Shop" Screen "Shopping Cart" is translated as "Chariot" or "Chariot d’achats"(See attachment iproc shop.doc). But it is not very common in France. A better translation as per users in France which they like to see is "Panier". Request you to provide the translation as requested.

REQUEST 3
There is some text that is in English: "This is where the customer puts their own purchasing news items (this is an HTML plugin)"
According to France user there is a legal requirement to have all information written in French on the software. Hence we will need some further translations.

REQUEST 4

1) Attachment - Additional Translation1
Translation requested are
a - Demandes d’approvisionnement => Demandes d’achat
b - Informations spéciales => Commentaires
c - Prix => Prix unitaire
d - numéro d’ordre d’achat => numéro de demande d’achat
e - the list of units (« Unité ») should be translated I think

2) Attachments - Additional Translation2
Translation requested are
a - Complet => Compléter
b - Mise à disposition => Lieu de livraison

IMPACT
Users in France find the application confusing because of the translation issues mentioned above
