In Oracle iProcurement, Release 18.104.22.168, when creating a non-catalog request, the Chinese language characters entered in the item description are being converted to special characters.
Steps To Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Responsibility: Internet Procurement
1. Log in to Oracle Applications, using an iProcurement responsibility.
2. From the iProcurement Shopping home page, click the Non-Catalog Request subtab.
3. On the Non-Catalog Request page, enter the Item Description in Chinese characters.
4. Now enter the category value.
After a value is selected in the Category field, the Item Description that was in Chinese is converted into Unicode characters (numbers, "&" and "#" characters).
Due to this issue, users cannot enter the items with Chinese characters during the iProcurement session.
