Purpose
The creation of trip data is a pre-requisite for the use of the Advanced Scheduler.
The 'Generate Field Service Trips' (GFST) concurrent program is used to create/update/delete trip data for Field Service Technicians.
This Note contains an embedded pdf presentation explaining the GFST function for Release 12.1. It provides:
- an overview of the program
- an explanation of the parameters used
- an outline of what the GFST process actually does
- an explanation of how the JTF Calendar api is call during the process of fetching the shift patterns
Scope
This Note focuses on the Release 12.1 functionality.
This Note may be read in conjunction with Note 351605.1 'Generate Shift Tasks Concurrent Program Overview' which summarized the 11i version of the software. The R12 'Generate Field Service Tasks' program, replaces the 11i 'Generate Shift Tasks' program.
