Symptoms

When targetting a JDBC Data Source to a Managed Server, the following error occurs:

An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
weblogic.application.ModuleException:
Cannot load driver class: oracle.apps.fnd.ext.jdbc.datasource.AppsDataSource when targetting a JDBC Data Source to a Managed Server


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Login to the Weblogic Server console

Navigate -> Domain Structure -> Services -> Data Sources

Click on the Link of the Data Source you want to target to a managed server

Click on the Targets tab

Select the check box against the managed server you are targetting

Save


BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, the data source cannot be targetted to the Managed Server
