Customers Workbench: Adding Account Site Contact That Already Exists Receive Error - Invalid Value For Owner_table_id. Please Enter Party_id Value From Hz_parties. (Doc ID 1561503.1)

Symptoms

R12.1.3

Attempting to add an Account Site Contact, that already exists as an Account Site Contact under the same account, and receive the following error:

Invalid value for owner_table_id. Please enter party_id value from hz_parties.

Responsibility:  Receivables
Navigation:  Customers> Customer Account > Account Site

These are the possible test cases.

Case - 1
========
1) Choose Person Type = Party, which is having First Name and Last Name only that does not have a Email_id attached.
2) Create a new contact with above First Name & Last Name and Apply.
Oracle suggests a list of Duplicate contacts and select "Cancel."
3) Add more information, like Email_id for the contact and Apply.
4) Suggestions for Duplicate contacts showed up.
5) Choose "Use Existing Contact" throws an error.

After this code fix system will create a new contact along with email information (contact point) and no error will raise.

Case - 2
========
1) Create One Site at account level and add a Contact with First Name, Last Name and email id information.
2) Create Second Site and add contact with same information as above.
Oracle suggested a list of Duplicate contacts, click on 'Use Existing Person'

After this code fix system will not throw any error, will create contact successfully.

Case - 3
========
1) Choose Person Type = Party, which is having First Name, Last Name only and Email_id attached.
2) Create a new contact with above First Name & Last Name and Apply.
Oracle suggested a list of Duplicate contacts and select "Cancel."
3) Add more information like Email_id for the contact and Apply.
4) Suggestions for Duplicate contacts are displayed.
On the de-dupulication page error message "Value for cust_acct_site_id - party_id - role_type must be unique." will be displayed.
5) Choose "Use Existing Contact" throws an error

After this code fix system will not throw any error, will create contact successfully.

Case - 4
========
The contact "John Paul" was already defined on a site, and you attempt to define the same contact again using the above steps, then it throws the error

Value for cust_acct_site_id - party_id - role_type must be unique.

Since this contact already exists for the current site, it is valid error message.
