PO Approval: Delegated Approvers Not Able To Approve PO's Even Though Delegator Has Sufficient Authority
(Doc ID 1565877.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After applying <Patch:15843459:R12.PRC_PF.B> users are no longer able to approve purchase orders (PO)s when the approval authority has been delegated. Even though the person who delegated the approval has sufficient authority to approve the PO, the function PO_REQAPPROVAL_ACTION.Verify_authority returns 'N' (No) and the PO cannot be Approved.
When the vacation rule is deactivated the person who delegated the approval is able to approve the same PO without problems, ruling out a setup issue.
This may also occur with manual delegation.
