Symptoms
Trying to create an manual intercompany journal in GL
There are two ledgers.
LEDGER ONE
Legal Entity = LEGAL ENTITY ONE is assigned,
To which Balancing Segment Value (BSV) A is assigned.
LEDGER TWO
LEGAL ENTITY TWO is assigned,
To which BSV B is assigned.
Intercompany rules have been setup that allow BSV B to transact with BSV A.
The application user creating the manual intercompany journal, in the journal entry screen (GLXJEENT) has access to both ledgers - LEDGER ONE and LEDGER TWO.
When entering the following information on the Enter Journals form they get the following error :
Ledger: LEDGER ONE
Period : MON-YY
Line 1: account code combination: A.XXX.XXX
Line 2: account code combination: B.XXX.XXX

'This balancing segment value is not valid for the current ledger'.
