R12: Hard Limit Functionality in Project Contracts (OKE) and It's Limitations
(Doc ID 1567960.1)
Last updated on APRIL 09, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Project Contracts - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Intended functionality with the Invoice and Revenue Hard Limits in Projects Contracts:
On the Funding Source, placing any dollar value on the Revenue/Invoice Hard Limit means that the corresponding checkbox will be checked on the Project Agreement (in Project Billing). Can you confirm? The dollar amount placed on the Funding Allocation does not appear to drive anything in Project Billing. In addition, if the Hard Limit is less than the funding amount, and a billing event is created for an amount in between the two, I do not get a hard limit message. For instance, the following data setup:
Funding Source Amount = $1000
Funding Allocation Amount = $1000
Invoice Hard Limit = $500
Billing event created for $750, Then Draft invoice can be created with no hard limit warning/errors.
