Goal


Enter the goal of the document. What does the customer want to accomplish?

 

When entering address for an employee belonging to India BG, find that it erors upon save:

 

The PIN Code for the State/UT is incorrect. Ensure that the first two digits of the PIN Code are 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27 or 28.

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

 

From "Enter and Maintain" Screen > Address Button,


On Save, it gives error that:

The PIN Code for the State/UT is incorrect. Ensure that the first two digits of the PIN Code are 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27 or 28.

  

On checking the DFF: "Personal Address Information" > Address_Style_Code = 'IN' > Segments, the value set attached to "POSTAL_CODE" is "PER_IN_PIN_CODES".  This Value Set  "PER_IN_PIN_CODES" is of type "None" and has simple validation that the length should be 6, only numbers are allowed and value should be between 100000 and 999999.

In Oracle, where is the master for valid list/range/validation for India Pin Codes stored?
