Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Brazil AP Globalization

Document Number field (invoice number) only accepts 15 characters in the Collection Documents form
while the same field (invoice num) in the Invoice Workbench form accepts 40 characters.

Expect that the field accepts 40 characters.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Responsibility: Oracle Payables - Brazilian localization
2. Path: Brazilian Localization > Collection Documents > Define (JLBRPECD)
3. Create a collection document and save.

The field 'document number'(invoice number) only accepts 15 characters
while the same field (invoice num) in the Invoice Workbench accepts 40 characters.

Document Number field (invoice number) only accepts 15 characters in the Collection Documents form
while the same field (invoice num) in the Invoice Workbench form accepts 40 characters.

Workaround: Change the invoice number for a size less than 15 character by hand, manually,
what is not an acceptable solution.


The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot enter more than 15 characters in the Document Number field (invoice number).
