How To Export Using Excel Format In Release 12

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Please note that this is not the problem with the Oracle Applications product.
But instead it is the delimiter properties of the Microsoft Excel application on the PC's client machine.
There is a way to change the default file format of the export function from text files to .csv files that are formatted to be read in an Excel spreadsheet
1. Oracle Install Base Agent User responsibility
2. Item Instances
3. In Simple Search page, query on any item instance
4. Click Go button
5. Above the list of search results, click on the Export button. The file is not exported in a format which can be easily read in an Excel spreadsheet.
