CSIMSISU and CSICYCNT Transaction Types are Failing with Error: Item Uniqueness check for the Instance failed (Doc ID 1575000.1)

Symptoms

CSIMSISU and CSICYCNT transaction types are failing to update Install Base with error. The problem is happening when instance has a non-serialized component under it.


Error code: CSI_API_OWNER_NOT_UNIQUE
Error message: Item Uniqueness check for the Instance failed. A Non-serialized item owned by the same owner already exist in the same Inventory location. Instance validation failed

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
The problem is happening when instance has non-serialized component under it.
(R): Receiving
(N): Receipts
Receive an item for an instance that has a non-serialized component under it.
Check Install Base for error
