Duplicate Customers Appear In Collections Customer Search List of Values (LOV) After Merge (Doc ID 1577128.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Collections - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In R12.1.3:

Duplicate customers are listed in the Organization List of Values (LOV) in Customers Search form (IEXLSGEN) in Collections.

These customers were merged at the end of 2012.
The merge went smoothly, but users now see some of the merged customers in the Collections Customers Search screen two or three times when query them up (actually 2 customers).
The other merged customers are okay.

The duplicates are identical to the transactions, which are attached to them, and the merged customer only appears once in the Customers Search screen.

Users are concerned that this situation may cause accounting issues and result in account discrepancies with the customer.

Steps to reproduce:
Responsibility:  Advanced Collections
Navigation:  Collections Agent > Search
Select Operating Unit and Customer By = Organization
-Select Quick Search tab
-In the Organization field, click to open the list of values.
-In the Find field query organization - For Example: PRO%
-The following organizations displays three times:
  Organization Organization Number
