Secondary Quantity Displayed as 0 in Material Workbench for Onhand Quantity for Items that are not Dual UOM Controlled and so Secondary Quantity Should be Blank (Doc ID 1577577.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Inventory Convergence

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
For items that are not dual UOM controlled (tracking indicator set to Primary), rows in MOQD are being updated to set the secondary_transaction_quantity to 0, when it should be NULL. The transactions themselves in MMT correctly have secondary_transaction_quantity as NULL. We are not sure what all transactions are causing this, but have reproduced the issue internally with a sales order shipment.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect MOQD.secondary_transaction_quantity to be NULL for items that are not dual UOM controlled, i.e., tracking indicator set to Primary.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue was reproduced internally with the following steps:
1. Do Misc Receipt (in testcase, item was lot, locator, and grade controlled). MOQD correctly shows null secondary_transaction_quantity
2. Create a sales order for part of the onhand quantity.
3. From Scheduling Reservation Details, reserve the required qty of the lot.
4. Pick release and ship order. MOQD now shows 0 as the secondary_transaction_quantity
