Goal

Need to modify the wrong database time to current date on the EBS instance.

Check as below scenario:

1. Login DB server as DB node user. e.g. oravis

2.
>sqlplus / as sysdba

3.
SQL>alter session set nls_date_format = 'mm/dd/yyyy hh24:mi:ss';

4.
SQL>select sysdate from dual;

output:

SYSDATE
-------------------
08/23/2013 15:09:25

5.
SQL> host date;

output:

Fri Aug 23 15:08:55 CST 2013

6. But currently, the actual time is 08/23/2013 09:09:25.

The database time is 6 hours ahead of the current date and need to modify the database server time to be correct.
