Purpose

Troubleshooting Guide for HRMS Post Install Steps

This guide is specifically written for the HRMS application. This guide contains commonly used troubleshooting techniques when performing application installation activities. For the purpose of this document, application installation activities include running HRMS post install steps and applying HRMS patches. If you cannot resolve the issue after using this guide, the information that you have gathered will help your support analyst find the resolution with you.

Overview

There are many reasons that a post install step may not apply successfully. Sometimes there are problems with the execution of a driver or script. Sometimes the code in parts of the driver is faulty and sometimes the condition of your existing instance or environment impacts the application of the driver. It may not be possible to find a workaround when a step ends in error on your system, but there are many useful pieces of information that you can find and share with Support to help in finding a resolution. The remainder of this document will deal with various aspects of troubleshooting and resolving patch failure.
