August Payroll

Example:

Employee Run Results Report
EES NI = 1465732.74
ERS NI = 1587567.78


Gross To Net Summary Report
EES NI = 1465732.74
ERS NI = 1587567.78

Difference between Employee Run Results and Gross To Net Summary Report
EES NI (1465732.74 - 1465732.74 ) = 0
ERS NI (1587567.78 - 1587567.78 ) = 0


FPS Report
EES NI = 1465750.89
ERS NI = 1587536.28


Difference between figures in FPS report and GTN or ERR
EES NI (1465750.89 - 1465732.74 ) = FPS excess by £18.15
ERS NI(1587536.28 - 1587567.78 ) = FPS short by £31.50

Why are the FPS NI figures not tallying with GTN or ERR?
Can you please help in reconciling these differences?
 
Qn2:The payroll run each month by the Payroll dept. needs to be reconciled. In light of RTI functionality, what would you advise the best practice for reconciling payroll should be ?
