When approving a Purchase Order using AME, the Approval Workflow completes with ORA-00060 and "ECX_PROGRAM_EXIT_EMBD" errors (Doc ID 1585839.1)

Symptoms

If using Approvals Management  Engine (AME), when a Purchase Order is submitted for approval with the option "Transmission Method" set to "XML", the approval workflow completes with error in activity "Generate Trading Partner XML Document".

The error is as follows:

Error Name ECX_PROGRAM_EXIT_EMBD
Error Message 6012: XML Gateway process aborted : 'ORA-00060: deadlock
detected while waiting for resource - ECX_ACTIONS.BIND_PROC_VARIABLES'. For
further details, see the log corresponding to FND-Logging AFLOG MODULE Name:
'Please ensure that FND-Logging is enabled for module ecx.plsql.%'.
