Workflow Mailer Stops Inbound Processing java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Connection reset (Doc ID 1588126.1)

Symptoms

Mailer stops processing the response email in the IMAP inbox after the below error appears in the mailer log file and mails just sits in the inbox without processing.
When the mailer is bounced (stop/start),  the mail starts processing normally until the below error appears again the mailer log file:
