API Does Not Support GTIN Cross Reference Conversion (Doc ID 1590223.1)

Goal

When we use the API to load GTIN cross reference, we are getting invalid cross reference error, but we can load it for any other cross reference type. Please confirm if the API supports GTIN load or not? We have INV: GTIN Cross Reference Type=Item's Global Trading Item Number and we also applied patch 14138918
