Comp Plan Change Resetting Interval To Date Sales Achievement (Doc ID 1591558.1)

Period is semi-monthly (such as 01-JUL-13 to 15-JUL-13) and Interval is Month (such as 01-JUL-13 to 31-JUL-13).

Now, when an employee changes comp plan mid-month (say on the 16th of the month) from Comp Plan A to Comp Plan B, then all the transactions until 15-JUL-13 get associated with Comp Plan A and all the transactions post 15-JUL-13 get associated with Comp Plan B. This behavior impacts Employee's commission Tier achievement.

If the Rate table is as below:

Monthly Sales Comm Rate
$0 - 10,000 5%
$10,000 - 20,000 8%

If Employee's Total sales transactions from 01-JUL-13 to 15-JUL-13 are $6000 and Total sales transctions from 16-JUL-13 to 31-JUL-13 are $5000. The Plan change splits up the Total monthly sales and basically resets Employee's Tier. Employee ends up getting paid at the first commission rate tier (comm rate=5%) whereas based on the Total sales for the month, $11000 he/she is eligible for the higher rate tier (comm rate=8%)
