Issue Bursting PDF File Using Delivery Channel on Filesystem - PDF file created by bursting in the filesystem has corrupted font (Doc ID 1593520.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 01, 2023

Applies to:

BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher) - Version 5.6.3 to 5.6.3 [Release 5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

XDO bursting feature (XDO 5.6.3 in EBS 11i)  with IBM AIX operating system.

Sporadic issue for high volum of data regarding the files that are created by the bursting process.

Although the generated PDF file input into the Bursting process looks normal, some split PDF files created by bursting in the filesystem contain corrupted data and fonts.

The input pdf file can have multiple invoices, and the problem will be seen for one of the invoices created via bursting.

Attempts to implment a Workaround using an XSL template instead of an RTF template to prevent template conversion/corruption were not success.
