Why a Lot Status Can Get Changed in All Locations When a Sample Is Approved? (Doc ID 1593527.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Product Development - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You are  on 12.1.3 version, using Quality Management Samples.

You are seeing the following behaviour : Lot status incorrectly gets changed in all locations when a sample is approved

When a lot is split between two locators within the same inventory org with different status, on approving the sample
both the locator lot status are changed, instead of changing the lot

in only one of the locators specified in the sample.

So when the sample is approved , it changes the status of the lot to approved in both the locators within the subinventory .
Material status which is in say  quarantined locator should not be changed.
Seems like the Sample disposition form is completely ignoring the locator when changing the status to Approved.

On approving the sample in concerned locator , you expected the system to be changing the lot status in only one of the locators specified in the sample. Why is that result?
