Information in this document applies to any platform.
In R12.1.3, the following error is received when trying to create a customer's contact:
oracle.jbo.JboException: Cannot post any entity with no attribute set
The error does not occur if users enter the address for the contact.
So in order to create a customer contact successfully, users must enter the address for the contact. Else they will get the error reported above.
Patch 10142275:R12.AR.B and 16539522:R12.HZ.B have been applied but still users must enter an address when creating a contact.
Steps to reproduce:
-Receivables Manager, N: Customers : Customers
-Query for a customer
-Click on Details for customer account
-Select the Communication tab
-Click on the Create Contact button.
-Fill in these fields: Prefix, First Name, and Last Name.
-Click Save. The error appears.
