Planned End Date Is Not Getting Populated For Already Existing Tasks

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Setting the profile option "Service: Quantity used to compute Task planned end date" is populating the planned end date only for newly created service requests.
But for existing service requests where the planned end date is blank, the value is not getting populated.
