Logo Appears In Preview But Not In The BI Publisher Report Output

Symptoms
On : E-Business Suite 12.1.3,
the logo is displayed in Online Preview output, but not in the XML Publisher report output (PDF format).
The xdo.log shows following error:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a template and include a logo.
2. Online preview of report shows logo but not in the printed output.
Verified the file and directory permissions for the applications OS user. All the premissions are available.
