Statement Print Issue: The Korean (KRW) Currency Symbol Does Not Appear on AR Statements (Doc ID 1600718.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Receivables - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Printing AR Statement in PDF format and the currency symbol for Korean (KRW), and some others, is not available when using a template.
The symbol shows up as a box.

It works for USD as $

XML code Example:

<CD_FINANCE_CHARGES> 0</CD_FINANCE_CHARGES>
<CF_CUR_SYMBOL/>?
<C_YEARLY_INTEREST/>

The question mark is an indication the that the XML Publisher generator was not able to find the proper font file.

As opposed to the USD $ in another statement -

<CD_TOTAL_AMOUNT_DUE> 41,697.55</CD_TOTAL_AMOUNT_DUE>
<CD_FINANCE_CHARGES> 0.00</CD_FINANCE_CHARGES>
<CF_CUR_SYMBOL>$</CF_CUR_SYMBOL>
<C_YEARLY_INTEREST/>
