After Login: Error While Invoking Main Menu. JBO-25200: Application Module Is Not Connected to a Database

After upgrading to 12.2.2, the following error is encountered in the Navigator pane right after login:
"Error while invoking Main Menu. JBO-25200: Application module is not connected to a database"
Hitting the browser refresh button clears it up,and we don't seem to encounter it again.
We tried several users and this seems to be the case for all of them.
This was not encountered while at 12.2.0, and seems to be something that starts after 12.2.2 is applied.
Upgrade to 12.2.2
