Serials Form Is Not Opening in the Receiving Transactions Form, Public API for Generating Lot Numbers is Not Working (Doc ID 1603512.1)

In 12.1.1

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Receiving Transaction form Or Miscellaneous Receipt form,

Once a new lot is generated, clicking on Lot/Serial button the serial form is not opening. Nothing happens when the Lot/Serial button is clicked.

Note: 1. Item is both lot & serial controlled.

2. If Lot is selected from LOV, Serial form does open with no issues.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When a new lot is generated, the Serial form should open when the Lot/Serial button is clicked

Issue began yesterday. No patches have been applied.
Issue has been reported by all warehouses and happens only in production. Cannot reproduce the issue in a Test instance.

Also, the Public API (API INV_LOT_API_PUB.UPDATE_INV_LOT) for generating Lot numbers is not working.. unable to generate LOT NUMBERS...PL\SQL procedure completes successfully, but lot numbers are not generated in MTL_LOT_NUMBERS

STEPS
-----------------------

Issue 1:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Query for Receipt on Receiving Transaction form
Enter required line details
Click Lot-Serial button
Lot field is disabled...Click "Generate Lot" button
After this completes, Click Serial button
>>>>> nothing happens

 

Issue 2

Load the API INV_LOT_API_PUB.UPDATE_INV_LOT it completes successfully, but no new lots are generated


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
No materials can be Delivered into Inventory and receipts cannot be processed.

No lots can be generated
