Payment Confirmation Letter Not Working When Paying a Current Invoice

When a payment is created from Advanced Collections on a current invoice, the Correspondence window is not automatically popping up when IEX: Send Correspondence Automatically = Manual.
It works for a delinquent invoice.
Steps to Reproduce:
Responsibility: Collection Agent
Navigation: Collections -> Payment Processing
- IEX: Send Correspondence Automatically profile option is set to Manual
- Submit a payment a non-delinquent invoice, the correspondence window is not automatically opened.
