Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1.3 version, LOTSERATT

We are using the custom package INV_CUST_CALC_EXP_DATE to calculate a specific expiry date for finished goods based on the original manufacture date of the bulk product.

This process works correctly except in one circumstance where we use the lot/serial form to generate the lot and expiry date when we transaction (WIP Completion) in the OPM Batch details form. When we generate the finished goods lot number the expiry date uses the custom calculation (see screen shots uploaded).

However when we examine the expiry date in the lots form (INVTDILT) we see that the date is lost and it has reverted to the standard shelf life calcuation.

expect INV_CUST_CALC_EXP_DATE to work even with OPM

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, lot expiry date is not correct
