Cannot Move Stock Reserved By Lot After Applying RUP 17442200:R12.WMS.B (Doc ID 1604991.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Use the lot reservation (without locator and LPN) at warehouse for Sale Orders. Sometimes the necessary lot exists only at storage area.
Move it to picking area. As warehouse manager create move orders which will be performed via MWA after allocation.

Now, install the 'LOGISTICS CONSOLIDATED RUP7 (17442200) (17442200:R12.WMS.B)', and find that after applying this RUP there is a new issue.

Error "The LPN does not have the available quantity for the Task" when trying to transact the move orders (via MWA) if lot reservation exists for this goods.
As a result, users cannot ship goods with lot reservations which are located at stock areas.

Customer is aware of the Move Order Allocating Reserved Stock (Note 1482524.1) , and the patch prevents the already reserved LPNs from getting allocated for a move order transfer or issue transaction.  But this issue is about hard reservation when reserve include the LPN.

In this case customer has only lot in reservation (not hard reserved), and it works before the above consolidated RUP.
Customer understands that reservation with LPN (Hard) should not move according Note 1482524.1 . But in case of 'soft' reservation customer could move the goods before applying the RUP, and expects the same should be allowed after the patch.

 Apply 'LOGISTICS CONSOLIDATED RUP7 (17442200) (Patch 17442200:R12.WMS.B)
