Mass Edit Actual Material Costs Program does not update item cost to average invoice price correctly
The Mass Edit Actual Material Costs Program does not update item costs to reflect the average invoice price between the from date and to date parameters specified when the program is ran.
When the program is ran for the Update material costs to PO receipt average or Update material costs to open PO average the cost is updated per expectations based on receipts or open PO's that exist between the specified from and to dates.
The cost does seem to eventually update to the invoice cost average but the range for the from and to date must be much broader than should be necessary.
Expect Mass Edit Actual Material Costs Program to update item cost to average invoice price correctly
The pending item cost should update to the invoice cost average for the period specified by the from and to date parameters.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Costing super user
2. Navigation: Cost > Cost mass edit
3. For example, for one item which had between 2 and 4 invoices a month for a certain item tied to an organization where the item cost did not match the invoice cost
I increased the gap between the from and to date parameters a month at a time until the pending cost was updated.
4. Started range with 9/1/2013 to 10/1/2013. It wasn't until I entered 3/1/2013 to 10/1/2013 as the parameter that the pending cost was finally updated.
There are 24 invoices during this time frame and each month between 3/1/2013 and 10/1/2013 has at least two invoices for this item with a different cost.
