Adding a Price List Line Errors At Bottom of Form With FRM-40737: Illegal Restricted Procedure GO_ITEM in WHEN-VALIDATE-RECORD Trigger (Doc ID 1612163.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add a new price list line with line type as price break header
the following errors occurs.

ERROR
APP-QP-225963: Please enter a valid price break
FRM-40737: Illegal restricted procedure GO_ITEM in WHEN-VALIDATE-RECORD trigger.


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Oracle Pricing Manager
2. Navigate to: Price List > Price List Setup
3. End date a previous price break line and add a new one and change the default start date from ‘01-JAN-2010’ to ‘01-NOV-2013’. Click on save, we are getting this note.
  APP-QP-225963: Please enter a valid price break

4. Click ok on the note.
    * Note the error at the bottom of the form:
       FRM-40737: Illegal restricted procedure GO_ITEM in WHEN-VALIDATE-RECORD trigger.

5. Now click on Price Breaks button.
6. Save the record in Price Breaks screen without entering any value, the record gets saved.
