Interface Move Transactions To Oracle Assets Program Does Not Retire Assets (Doc ID 1612686.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to retire assets using Interface Move Transactions to Oracle Assets program, the following error occurs.

ERROR

Error in process_adjustment_trans p_conc_req id

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Customer has instance = <instance_number> for serial number = <serial_number>
2. Instance is linked to Asset number = <asset number>
3. Business scenario is to go to pick a serial depreciable item that has already been created as an asset and not be able to find it.
4. Do a Miscellaneous Issue (account alias) transaction which expired the instance and retires the asset.
5. Then do a Misc Receipt to un-expire the same instance automatically
6. Run the Interface Move Transactions to Oracle Assets program, see "error in process_adjustment_trans p_conc_req id"

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot retire the existing asset so the same serial number is now linked to 2 assets
