E-Business Suite 11i : Reports Faile With REP-3000 Error And Executing Command "xdpyinfo -display nodename:0.0" Returns Unable To Open Display nodedname:0.0 (Doc ID 1613246.1)

Symptoms

1.  E-Business Suite (EBS) reports, including character mode reports such as the Active Users report, fail with the following request log file error message:

"Enter Password:
REP-3000: Internal error starting Oracle Toolkit.
REP-3000: Internal error starting Oracle Toolkit.
REP-0069: Internal error
REP-57054: In-process job terminated:Terminated with error:
REP-3000: Internal error starting Oracle Toolkit."

2.  OS command line testing indicates that the Unix command "xdpyinfo -display node:0.0" returns "unable to open display "nodename:0.0"

Note 1: The DISPLAY environment variable within the sysadmin report "Generate concurrent processing environment information" specifies the display server being used by the concurrent managers.
