How to View Concurrent Reports Based on The Client Timezone Profile Option (Doc ID 1618732.1)

Last updated on APRIL 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Concurrent Processing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

How to allow users to view Concurrent Reports based on the Client Timezone profile option - in other words; how to generate a report with user / client timezone in mind.

For Example, they have the server in Mexico, and User A is in Spain.
The Client Timezone profile option is set for Spain at the User A level.
When the User A saves a Sales and Marketing transaction on Dec 27th at 5 AM, the transaction is saved in Server as Dec 26th at 22PM which is the Server timezone.

When the User A runs a report to get this transaction the report is showing the transaction as saved Dec 26th.
The customer would like for the report to show the time the transaction was saved for the User A timezone - Dec 27th at 5 AM.

And, for example, if User B Client Timezone is set for Mexico at the User B level, then when User B runs the same report, they would see the report to show the time the transaction based on User B timezone - Dec 26th at 22PM.
