Collector Changed at Customer Profile is not Assigning New Collector to Work Items of the Old Collector

Automatic work items are not re-assigned at the time the customer profile at account and site level is changed to a new collector. This needs to be manually done in the collections screen for each work item.
Is there any automated process in Collections to re-assign those open work items to the new collector once the profile is changed?
