Different Date Formats In Oracle Main Application And In Mobile Field Service Laptop Application (Doc ID 1627428.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

If the users enter a date in a DFF (descriptive flexfield) in the main application in format "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS”, the data flows to Mobile Field Service Laptop with “DD-MON-YYYY HH:MM:SS” format.

But when users try to enter the date in the same DFF in “DD-MON-YYYY HH:MM:SS” format in Mobile Field Service Laptop they are not allowed. They are forced to enter the date in "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS” format.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Profile 'ICX: Date format mask' is set to "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS” at site level.
2. Enter the date in the DFF field in same "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS” format.
3. Login to Mobile Field Service Laptop and check the DFF field: it is displayed as “DD-MON-YYYY HH:MM:SS” and not as "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS”.
4. When trying to update the DFF field in Mobile Field Service Laptop even if it is displayed as “DD-MON-YYYY HH:MM:SS”, it will only accept format "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS”.
