Mass Revaluation Does Nothing For 0% Change (Doc ID 1628727.1)

Last updated on JULY 30, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Assets - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When trying to write out the accumulated depreciation (depreciation reserve) on an asset by revaluing it by 0%, the preview shows that the new depreciation reserve
will be zero, however when the revaluation is actually processed  the depreciation reserve shows a different figure to what there is on the preview.

For 0% revaluation -> the revaluation transaction does no insert lines in fa_adjustments , and hence in SLA trace the reval events appears as non-accountable
if revalue accumulated depreciation is set to No, in order to move the deprn reserve balance to the reval reserve balance - should be a journal  (in order to move just deprn res balance to reval res with no effect on cost)
and this should be a journal for the reval transaction.
