How to Prevent Duplicate Entries for Serial Numbers in the Same Contract Line of a Service Contract (Doc ID 1630130.1)

In Service contracts, Find that the System allows entering the same Serial number 2 times in the same contract and under the same line.
Ideally the System should provide a warning or error for duplicate entry.

It only provides a warning when running QA Check at the end of the authoring process.

How can one complete the process without the risk of entering duplicate serial numbers?
How can the System stop the Contract being sold in the same period twice for same serial number, Same line and in the same contract?
