Symptoms
Receiving JBO-28200 error when executing Item Rules, when item primary attribute is updated by assignment rule.
ERROR
oracle.jbo.ValidationException: JBO-28200: Validation threshold limit reached. Invalid Entities still in cache
REPRODUCING STEPS
1. Created Item Rule to generated item description using one UDA.
2. Assign rule to Rule Set.
3. Change UDA value.
4. Receive error: oracle.jbo.ValidationException: JBO-28200: Validation threshold limit reached. Invalid Entities still in cache
Note: The issue can also occur for other scenarios and in R12.2.3.
For example: Item rule for description update gives error below but takes change, so is confusing for the end user:
You might have defined an item rule that if a user creates the item description in lower case, the item rule converts such description to all upper case. The item rule take effect but end user gets the error:
