## Symptoms

According to <Bug 5590660>, the search threshold works the following way:

A match rule's threshold cannot be greater than the total score.
Threshold is the total match score.

If you define a match rule as:

Party Name score = 30
Duns Number Score = 20

Set threshold = 50

When you enter Party Name and Duns Number, when those two attributes are match,

30 + 20
------------------- * 50 = 39
30 + 20 + 15

In this case, because of 30+20 = 50 > 39, so it will return as match.

When you enter Duns Number and Address, when those two attributes match,

15 + 20
------------------- * 50 = 27
30 + 20 + 15

In this case, 15 + 20 = 35 > 27, so it will return as match.

The following is a test case:
Create a match rule
Match Threshold = 70

City Score 10 with Exact and Cleanse transformation
Name Score 60 with EXACT SPECIAL + WRNAMES and CLEANSE SPECIAL + WRNAMES transformations

Create a customer:
1 Name: Meander Medisch Centrum Amersfoort
2 Second line of address: Postbus 1502
3. City: Amersfoort

Do the following search:

1. Party Name: Meander Medisch Centrum
City Amersfoort
Meander Medisch Centrum Amersfoort comes back as 100% match

According the formula explained in Bug 5590660,
(60+30+10 / 60+30+10) * 70 = 70
100 > 70, so match

2. Party Name: Meander Medisch Centrum
City Amersfoord
No Match returned

Based upon the formula Bug 5590660,
(60+30 / 60+30+10) * 70 = 63
60+30 = 90 > 63, so you would expect match. But the system did NOT return any match
