Last updated on FEBRUARY 10, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Assets - Version 12.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
FADEPR - Depreciation Program

Depreciation not calculating correctly when using half year convention and Amortized Adjustment transactions where one adjustment was done previously prior to the prorate date, then a second adjustment in a later period with a current period Amortization_Start_Date, followed by a second adjustment that has backdated Amortization_Start_Date results in incorrect depreciation.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Perform an amortized adjustment in a prior period, earlier than the prorate date.

2. Advance some periods.

3. Perform another amortized adjustment in the new period with current period amortization start date.

4. Perform another amortized adjustment back to an earlier period amortization_start_date.

5. Run Depreciation.
