Unable To Make Change To The Salary Details Of Employees (Doc ID 1634817.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 Rup 6 version of the Production Instance, In the Salary Admin Page.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

When attempting to correct the existing salary details of an Employee, it is not displaying the Latest Salary Record.

Also observed that, there are two salary records with open dates

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

Expect that, When attempting to correct the existing salary details of an Employee, it should display the Latest Salary Record.

Also there should be only one salary record with open date at any point of time.

STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using "HRMS Manager" Responsibility.

2. Navigate to People --> Enter and Maintain.

3. Query an employee, for whom the Salary details has to be corrected.

4. Click on the "Assignment" button and in the Launched Assignment form, click on the "Salary" button.

5. In the launched salary page, Observe that salary history details are displayed.

6. Observe that, there are 2 history records with open dates.

7. Click on "Correct", to modify the salary details.

8. Observe that, the latest salary details are not shown.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:

Due to this issue, users cannot run the payroll since they have made some wrong entry for a persons salary and unable to correct it and also unable to approve a persons salary
