Oracle Workflow Mail To Invalid Address Address Brings Down The Notification Mailer (Doc ID 1639298.1)

1) Notification Mailer keeps resending the same closed Notification every few seconds even though the Status of the Notification is 'CLOSED' and Mail Status is 'SENT'

2) You have added TAGs to handle any bounced/unsolicited notifications that you suspect are causing the Mailer to crash but still the TAGs seem to be ignored or not working.

3) Looking at the MIME header of of the returned notification shows:

From: Mail Delivery System <MAILER-DAEMON@domain_name>
Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender 


The From field may have the name of the system with space in between words and not enclosed in double quotes for example:

From: Oracle Support Mail System

4)The Notification Mailer log file may contain:

NID parser} -> javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal whitespace in address in string " Name Of The System ''
