Symptoms

When attempting to use Items/NIR created using API EGO_ITEM_PUB.process_items, it is not auto exploding, and the following error occurs.

ERROR
Warning: The Workflow has not been exploded. Please click the Explode Workflow Routing button.


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Use Items/NIR Created using API EGO_ITEM_PUB.process_items
  2. After submitting the request, the warning will be raised as stated above.


WHAT IS WORKING

Similar process is working fine when item/NIR is created manuall or PLM spreadsheet upload.

The issue started after applying two patches for two additional fixes as detailed in the following Service Requests:

Patch applied: <Patch 17563086>:R12.ENG.C
Patch applied:<Patch 18197900>:R12.ENG.C
